Recruitment Procedure

As a service provider, one of our main aims is to offer a specialised, quality and cost effective support service. This is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days of the year throughout Surrey, Kent , Sussex, and Cornwall.
Our offices are inspected annually by the Commission for Social Care Inspections (CSCI) in addition to which we operate an internal monitioring and auditing system to ensure good and safe practices are maintained.
All health care professional's joining our Agency are required to complete an application form, followed by an interview by one of our registered managers or recruitment consultants. Our consultants are well versed in management procedures and staff selection. Interviews are thorough and in line with CSCI requirements. Applicants must provide us with some or all of the following documents:
- Valid passport(visa/work permit etc)
- British birth certificate
- Marriage certificate
- Drivers Licence
- Original teaching or other verfied certificates
- Two colour passport photographs
- Two proofs of present address
- Evidence of immunisation
- Evidence of attendance to mandatory or other relevant training courses
- Criminal Records Bureau enhanced disclosure certificate
Candidates must also complete a detailed health questionnaire and sign to say that they are fit for the postion, as well as applying for and obtaining our own enhanced CRB disclosure. After a thorough interview, professional references are applied for.
In order to facilitate accurate payroll, applicants are also asked to provide their National Insurance card or other proof of NI number, a P45 or P46 as well as any other relevant documentation.
All staff are provided with a contract and identification badge as well as a copy of Heart of the South's induction handbook, and NCYPE health and safety handbook which are signed with copies put on staff files.
We ensure that staff fully understand our client's needs and requirements before any assignments are undertaken, including:
- Health and Safety issues
- Clients working environment
- Professional conduct and responsibilities
- Correct administration procedures
- Availability for work
- Importance of being prompt and punctual for assignments
- Communication with office during and out of hours
- Standard and quality of work expected
- Importance of working as a Team.
